The Joseph O’Brien-trained Thinking Of You (2 f American Pharoah - Fabulous by Galileo) got her career off to the perfect start when making a winning debut over six and a half furlongs at Limerick on Friday.

The daughter of Coolmore Stud shuttler American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile) was slowly away from the stalls, but after managing to get back on terms glided through the field to beat Colfer Kay - who is by former Coolmore Stud reverse shuttler Pride Of Dubai (Street Cry) - by half a length. Palifico (Siyouni) finished another head away in third.

The two-year-old is out of the unraced Galileo (Sadler’s Wells) mare Fabulous, who is herself out of Grade 2 winner Mariah’s Storm (Rahy).

Mariah’s Storm is the dam of multiple Grade 1 winner and late breed-shaping sire Giant’s Causeway (Storm Cat) and Group 2 winner You'resothrilling (Storm Cat) - the dam of Group 1 scorers Gleneagles (Galileo) and Happily (Galileo), Group 3 winners Coolmore (Galileo) and The Taj Mahal (Galileo), who landed the Zipping Classic (Gr 2, 2400m) at Sandown in 2017 and 2018.

Mariah’s Storm is also the grandam of three-time Group 1 winner Decorated Knight (Galileo).

You'resothrilling’s yearling filly by Galileo sold to Robbie Medina, agent for Joseph Allen for US$1.5 million at the Fasig-Tipton Selected Yearlings Showcase on Wednesday. Yearlings by American Pharoah also proved popular at the Fasig-Tipton sale, with a colt by the sire selling for US$1.25 million to Speedway Stables on Thursday.

The sire of ten stakes winners to date in his first two northern hemisphere-bred crops, he stands for a fee of $55,000 (inc GST) at Coolmore’s Jerrys Plains base.
