Irish National Stud stalwart Invincible Spirit (Green Desert) sired his 129th stakes winner on Friday when Cloak Of Spirits (3 f ex Pivotique by Pivotal) finally got her head in front at stakes level in the Rosemary Stakes (Listed, 1m) at Newmarket.

The Richard Hannon-trained three-year-old has performed consistently well at stakes level this season, headlined by a second place finish behind Love (Galileo) over the same course and distance in the 1,000 Guineas (Gr 1, 1m) on June 7.

On Friday, the filly finally put all that experience together when beating Bounce The Blues (Excelebration) by half a length, while Tomorrow's Dream (Oasis Dream) finished another three lengths away in third.

The filly is the only winner out of unplaced Pivotal (Polar Falcon) mare Pivotique, who is herself the daughter of winning Seeking The Gold (Mr Prospector) mare Suba.

Suba herself is out of top-flight-winning mare Zomaradah (Deploy), who proved herself a top-class producer, being the dam of three-time Group 1 winner and now top-class Darley stallion Dubawi (Dubai Millennium), while she is also the dam of Group 2 winner Emirates Queen (Street Cry) and Listed scorers Jordan Princess (Cape Cross) and Princess Nada (Barathea).

Princess Nada is the dam of Qewy (Street Cry), whose six wins included victories in the Geelong Cup (Gr 3, 2400m), Bendigo Cup (Gr 3, 2400m) and Sandown Cup (Listed, 3200m).

Cloak Of Spirits becomes the 109th stakes winner out of a daughter of Pivotal, while she becomes the sixth black-type winner bred on Invincible Spirit / Pivotal cross, which is headed by Group 1 winner and now sire Mayson.

Invincible Spirit stood at the Irish National Stud for a fee of €100,000 this year and he is represented in Australia by his sire sons, leading sire I Am Invincible, Cable Bay, National Defense, Shalaa, Territories, Shalaa, while Magna Grecia and Royal Meeting, who are covering their first book of mares at Coolmore Stud and Aquis Farm respectively.
