Former Patinack Farm shuttler Lope De Vega (Shamardal) notched up his 77th stakes winner in Deauville on Thursday when Parchemin (2 c ex Hint Of Pink by Teofilo) took out the Prix Isonomy (Listed, 1600m).

Trained by Andre Fabre for Godolphin, Parchemin scored a short neck victory over Colosseo (Street Boss) with that pair 13 and a quarter lengths clear of Mouillage (Toronado) who came home in third.

Unbeaten now in two career starts having broken his maiden on debut at Compiegne three weeks ago, Parchemin was bought for 110,000gns by Stroud Coleman at last year’s Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 2. He is the first winner for his unraced dam Hint Of Pink (Teofilo) who is a half-sister to dual Listed winner Pelerin (Shamardal). Further back this is the family of Ascot Fillies’ Mile (Gr 1, 1m) winner Hibaayeb (Singspiel) and her dual Group 1 winning daughter Wuheida (Dubawi).

Lope De Vega’s stakes winners are headed by 11 Group 1 winners including Santa Ana Lane and Gytrash whilst his dual Group 1 winning son Belardo is currently standing at Haunui Farm in New Zealand.
