Coolmore Stud shuttler American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile) looked to unearthed another smart juvenile in the form of Queen’s Speech (2 f ex Paradise Playgirl by Speightstown) who demolished her rivals over seven furlongs at the Curragh on Monday.

The two-year-old filly pulled clear with a furlong left to travel and was eased at the line to beat Disco Boots - who is by Haunui Farm shuttler Belardo (Lope De Vega) - by five lengths, while Sunniyra (Zoffany) was another head away in third.

The filly was purchased by Coolmore’s M V Magnier for US$180,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale from the Taylor Made Sales Agency draft and she is one of five winners out of winning Speightstown (Gone West) mare Paradise Playgirl, whose progeny includes Listed-placed duo Heart Of Paradise (More Than Ready) and Summer Reading (Hard Spun).

Paradise Playgirl herself is a half-sister to Grade 3 scorer Megascape (Cape Canaveral) and Listed winner Richest Half (Rizzi).

Further afield this is the same family as Grade 2 winner Top Secret (Afleet) and Listed winners West’s Secret (West By West) and Tate (Afleet).

American Pharoah’s progeny is headed by two elite level winners; Harvey’s Lil Goil and Van Gogh and is yet to have a starter in Australia. The stallion is standing at Coolmore Australia for a fee of $55,000 (inc GST).
