Frankel and Kingman’s fees remain unchanged for 2021

Superstar stallions Frankel (Galileo) and Kingman (Invincible Spirit) will stand for unchanged fees of £175,000 and £150,000 respectively in 2021, as Juddmonte Farms released the prices for their five-strong roster on Tuesday. 

Frankel has once again enjoyed a lucrative season, siring 17 stakes winners, spearheaded by February Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Mozu Ascot and Mirage Dancer, who took out the Metropolitan Handicap (Gr 1, 2400m) in October. His stakes winner haul for 2020 also includes Sweet Embrace Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) Hungry Heart. 

Frankel’s firepower in the sales ring also continued in 2020, with 29 of his yearlings selling in the northern hemisphere making an aggregate of £9,937,000 at an average of £342,655, with the most expensive colt selling for £1,100,000, while his most expensive filly realised £2,000,000. 

Meanwhile, Frankel’s barmate Kingman has enjoyed an equally lucrative season with his 14 stakes winners this year headed by Group 1-winning duo Palace Pier and Perisan King, with the latter set to stand his first season at Haras d'Etreham. 

Kingman’s success on the racetrack continued in the sales ring, with 27 of his yearlings making £10,418,008 at an average of £385,852, with one of his colts making £2,700,000 when selling to Oliver St Lawrence Bloodstock at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale last month. 

Oasis Dream’s fee has been clipped back to £20,000 for 2021, having stood for £25,000 in 2020, while Expert Eye, whose first-crop foals will sell at the upcoming Tattersalls and Goffs sales, has also been reduced by £5,000 to a fee of £12,500. The roster is completed by Bated Breath (Dansili) will also stand once again at a fee of £12,500.
