Papas Dream breaks maiden at Kempton
Rich Hill Stud-based shuttler Vadamos (Monsun) sired his 13th first-crop winner as Papas Dream (2 g ex Ms O'Malley by Baltic King) broke his maiden over seven furlongs at Kempton on Wednesday.
The Stan Moore-trained two-year-old gelding surged clear to beat Goodwood Glen - who is by Darley first-season sire Territories (Invincible Spirit) - by three and a quarter lengths, while Duty Of Care (Kingman) was another neck away in third.
Bred by Tally-Ho Stud, Papas Dream is out of unraced mare Ms O'Malley (Baltic King), who is herself a sister to six-time winner and Listed-placed Kidmenever.
Further back this is the same family as Listed-winning duo Qui Es Tu (Desert King) and Marksmanship (Sharpen Up).
Vadamos’ first-crop includes Group 3-placed Spycatcher and he has 21 lots catalogued at next year’s New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Yearling Sale, which gets underway January 24.
