The Richard John O'Brien-trained Uncharted (2 f ex Rawoof by Nayef) broke her maiden at the second time of asking when he landed a race over a mile at Dundalk on Friday and in the process handed Darley Stud-based first-season sire Territories (Invincible Spirit) with his 19th winner.

The two-year-old filly surged clear unchallenged to beat Oh Say - who is by Rosemont Stud shuttler Starspangledbanner (Choisir) - by two and a quarter lengths, while Captain Middleton (Camacho) was a further half a length further back in third.

Purchased by Greenhills for 33,000gns at the 2019 Tattersalls December Yearling Sale from the Skyline Thoroughbreds draft, Uncharted becomes the second winner out of winning Nayef (Gulch) mare Rawoof.

Rawoof is herself a daughter of winning mare Tanaghum (Darshaan) and she is also the dam Group 3 winners Matterhorn (Raven’s Pass), Tactic (Sadler’s Wells) and Bangkok (Australia) as well as Listed winner Yaazy (Teofilo),

Tanaghum is also the dam of Zahoo (Nayef), who in turn produced Group 3 scorer Convergence (Cape Cross) and she is also the grandam of multiple Group 1 winner and now Haunui Farm shuttler Ribchester (Iffraaj).

Territories’ first northern hemisphere crop include the stakes winners Rougir and Fulgentia as well as stakes performers Terrible Land, Linosa, Teresa Mendoza, William Bligh and Gartoria and he has three lots catalogued at next month’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
