Two-year-old colt Kondo Isami (Galileo), who is out of Australian-bred Redoute's Choice (Danehill) mare Zouzou, broke his maiden at the third attempt on Thursday. The Mark Johnston-trained colt started favourite and scored a three length victory over Stiletto (Frankel), who is himself out of High Heeled (High Chaparral), in the EBF Novice Stakes (1m2f) at Chelmsford.

Bred by Coolmore and raced by Toshihiro Matsumoto and Partners, Kondo Isami becomes the fifth winner for Zouzou whose winners are headed by multiple Group 1 winner and leading sire Zoustar (Northern Meteor). Bought for $775,000 by Coolmore at the 2014 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale, Zouzou has produced two other foals by Galileo (Sadler's Wells) including the placed colt Emperor Of The Sun while her unplaced filly At Last (Galileo) was bought at last year's Tattersalls July Sale for 420,000gns by Mick Flanagan and she produced a colt by Justify (Scat Daddy) in September.
