Saiydabad keeps unbeaten record intact

The Jean-Claude Rouget-trainer Saiydabad (3 c ex Sarkiyla by Oasis Dream) retained his unbeaten record when he took out the Prix De Suresnes (Listed, 2000m) at Chantilly on Tuesday and in the process became the 33rd stakes winner for Claiborne Farm resident Blame (Arch).

Unraced as a two-year-old, the Aga Khan-trained three-year-old colt has won both of his starts this season and he retained his unblemished record when he beat Absurde (Fastnet Rock) by half a length, while Baha Mar (Siyouni) was another length and a half away in third.

The colt is the only winner out of Group 3 winner Sarkiyla (Oasis Dream), who was purchased last year at the Arqana December Breeding Stock by Chantilly Bloodstock for €35,000.
Sarkiyla is herself a half-sister to the dam of Group 2 and Group 1-placed Gold Trip (Outstrip).

The colt’s fourth dam is Listed winner and Group 1-placed Safita (Habitat) - the dam of Group 2  winner Safawan (Young Generation), while she is also the grandam of dual Group / Grade 2 winner Sayarshan (Darshaan).

Blame’s progeny is headed by five Group / Grade 1 winners Marley’s Freedom, Nadal, Fault, Senga and Abscond.
