Hermana Estrella impresses on debut
Filly provides her Rosemont Stud-based shuttler Starspangledbanner with his 18th stakes winner

The Fozzy Stack-trained Hermana Estrella (2 f ex The Last Sister by Lord Shanakill) scored an impressive victory on debut on Sunday in the EBF Fillies Sprint Stakes (Gr 3, 6f) at Naas and in doing so became stakes winner number 18 for her Rosemont Stud-based shuttler Starspangledbanner (Choisir). Hermana Estrella, who started at odds of 50-1, beat Quick Suzy (Profitable) by a length with Missing Matron (Vocalised)  another five and a half lengths back in third. Starspangledbanner’s stakes winners are headed by the Group One winning pair The Wow Signal and Millisle. His 2021 fee has been set at $16,500 (inc GST).

Logo Hunter takes out Sprint Stakes at Naas

Darley’s Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible) notched up his 13th stakes winner on Sunday when the Michael Browne-trained Logo Hunter (3 g ex Jadanna by Mujadil) took out the Sprint Stakes (Listed, 5f) at Naas. Under Seamie Heffernan, the gelding scored by four and a quarter lengths over Back To Brussels (Starspangledbanner). Brazen Beau’s stakes winners include Group One winner On The Bubbles and he will stand for a fee of $49,500 (inc GST) this spring. 

 

A Case Of You returns to winning ways
Son Of Hot Streak is victorious in Sunday’s Lacken Stakes at Naas

A Case Of You (3 c Hot Streak - Karjera by Key Of Luck) returned to winning ways on Sunday when he won Sunday’s Lacken Stakes (Gr 3, 6f) at Naas. Having finished last of 12 runners last start, the colt defeated Mooneista (Dandy Man) by a neck on Sunday with Power Under Me (Mehmas) only a head further away in third. A Case Of You won last season’s Anglesey Stakes (Gr 3, 6.5f) at the Curragh on his final start as a juvenile last October. 

 

First stakes winner for Buratino
Favourite Snapraetera wins Owenstown Stud Stakes

Sunday’s Owenstown Stud Stakes (Listed, 7f) at Naas was won by the Joseph O’Brien-trained Snapratera (3 c ex Snap Alarm by Alamshar) who provided his sire Buratino (Exceed And Excel) with his first stakes winner. Having the third start of his three-year-old season the colt defeated Lustown Baba (Alhebayeb) by a half length with Njord (Roderic O’Connor) another length and a half back in third. 

 

131 for Invincible Spirit
Andre Fabre-trained Ideal Beauty takes out the Prix Saint-Georges

Sunday’s Prix de Saint-Georges (Gr 3, 1000m) at Longchamp was won by the Andre Fabre-trained Ideal Beauty (3 f ex Discernable by Elusive Quality) who in winning became the 131st stakes winner for Invincible Spirit (Green Desert). Bred by Godolphin, Ideal Beauty scored a three quarter length victory over favourite Berneuil (Lope De Vega). Sestilio Jet (French Fifteen) was a further length and a quarter back in third. Invincible Spirit’s stakes winners include 20 Group One winners and his sire sons at stud Australia include Yarraman Park’s I Am Invincible, while Shalaa will shuttle to Arrowfield again this spring, Territories will stand at Darley Kelvinside, National Defense will stand at Widden Victoria and Magna Grecia will shuttle to Coolmore Australia. 

 

15th stakes winner for Sea The Moon
Aga Khan homebred Sagamiyra wins Sunday’s Prix Maurice Zilber

Sea The Moon was represented by his 15th stakes winner on Sunday when the Aga Khan Studs homebred Sagamiyra (4 f ex Saghaniya by Rock Of Gibraltar) won the Prix Maurice Zilber (Listed, 1400m) at Longchamp. Having her second career start, Sagamiyra impressed to score a two length victory over Alpen Rose (Sea The Stars). Tropbeau (Showcasing) was the same distance away in third. 


77 for Sea The Stars
Burgarita remains undefeated in the Prix de la Seine

Burgarita (3 f ex Angelita by Alzao) remained undefeated when winning Sunday’s Prix de la Seine (Listed, 2200m) at Longchamp and in doing so provided Sea The Stars (Cape Cross) with his 77th stakes winner. Trained by Andre Fabre, Burgarita scored a length and a half victory over Natsukashi (Motivator), who started favourite, with another four lengths back to Dary Ci (Dariyan) in third.

 

Six for Caravaggio 
Andreas Vesalius impresses at Naas on Sunday

Former Coolmore Australia shuttler Caravaggio (Scat Daddy) sired his sixth first crop winner on Sunday when Andreas Vesalius (2 c ex Vitello by Raven's Pass) won at Naas. 

Trained by Joseph O'Brien, the colt led and was aksed to quicken 400 metres from home. He kept on well in the closing stages and scored a length and three quarter victory over favourite Silver Surfer, who is also by Caravaggio. Twilight Jet (Twilight Son) was another three lengths behind in third. 

Caravaggio has now sired six winners from 13 runners. 

 

First For Time Test
LA Stud shuttler represented by his first winner

The LA Stud shuttler Time Test (Dubawi) sired his first winner on Saturday when The King's Horses (2 c ex Natty Bumppo by Kheleyf) won on debut over 1000 metres in Milan. Bought for 10,000gns at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 3 by Gianluca Verricelli, The King's Horses is out of unraced mare Natty Bumppo (Kheleyf) who has now produced two winners. His second dam produced Group Three winners Astrophysical Jet (Dubawi), Know It All (Lord Kanaloa) and Coral Wave (Rock Of Gibraltar). His third dam is Highbrow (Shirley Heights) who is the grandam of My Kingdam Of Fife (Kingmambo), winner fot he Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m). Time Test stands at The National Stud in Newmarket.
