Aga Khan homebred filly takes out Wednesday’s Prix Corrida

The only stakes race on Wednesday’s Saint-Cloud card, the Prix Corrida (Gr 2, 2100m), was won by Ebaiyra (4 f Distorted Humor - Ebiyza by Rock Of Gibraltar).

Trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre, Ebaiyra came into Wednesday’s race having landed the Prix Allez France (Gr 3, 2000m) at Longchamp on May 2, and after taking the lead with 200 metres left to run the filly pulled away from the favourite, Rabbihah (Sea The Stars), to score by a length and a half. German raide No Limit Credit (Night Of Thunder) was another half length away in third.

Bred and raced by HH Aga Khan, Ebaiyra is out of the Group 2 winner Ebiyza (Rock Of Gibraltar) and Wednesday’s race was her second victory at Group 2 level after she won last year’s Prix Pomone (Gr 2, 2500m) at Deauville. She is a half-sister to Listed winner Edisa (Kitten’s Joy) while her third dam is dual Group 1 winner Ebadiyla (Sadler’s Wells).
