Emirates Park homebred daughter of Frankel wins at Haydock
Sadmah, a two-year-old daughter of Frankel (Galileo) out of Mossfun broke her maiden on debut at Haydock on Wednesday.
Bred and raced by Emirates Park and trained by Kevin Ryan, Sadmah travelled strongly in the early stages of the six furlong contest. She was pushed along with 400 metres left to travel and ran on impressively in the closing stages and scored by three quarters of a length from Madame Bonbon (Iffraaj). Attagirl (Wootton Bassett) was another short head back in third.
Sadmah is the third foal out of 2014 Golden Slipper Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Mossfun (Mossman), who was bought by Emirates Park at the 2013 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale for $85,000 and went on to win four starts and over $2.5 million in prize money.
Her first foal, Tumooh (Fastnet Rock) is unraced and her second, a son of Frankel placed as a three-year-old this season in England. In 2020 Mossman produced a filly by I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) and she was covered again by the Yarraman Park-based sire last September.
Sadmah becomes the 300th winner for Juddmonte Farm’s Frankel on the flat.
