Padovana breaks through at Listed level at Nantes on Tuesday
The Francis Graffard-trained Padovana (4 f ex Praise Dancing by Blame) became the 16th stakes winner for the Lanwades Stud-based Sea The Moon (Sea The Stars) when she landed Tuesday's Grand Prix Anjou Bretagne (Listed, 1600m) at Nantes.
Stakes placed previously, the four-year-old filly scored by a nose of Caliste (Intense Focus) with Ultramarine (Siyouni) another three and a half lengths away in third.
Sea The Moon, who has four crops of racing age, stood for a fee of £22,500 at Lanwades Stud in Newmarket this year. His stakes winners include Coronation Stakes (Gr 1, 1m) winner Alpine Star and the Group 2 winning duo Wonderful Moon and Quest The Moon.
