Dark Angel (Acclamation) will be offered to breeders to southern hemisphere time this year.

Trained by Barry Hills, whose son Charlie trains the stallion's leading earner, the multiple Group 1 winner Battaash, Dark Angel won four of his nine starts as a juvenile with his biggest victory coming in the Middle Park Stakes (Gr 1, 7f) at Newmarket in October 2007. Retired to stud at the end of his two-year-old, he stood his first season for a fee of just €10,000 in 2008.

The 15-year-old stallion stood for a fee of €60,000 at Yeomanstown Stud this year and is the sire of 71 stakes winners to date including eight Group 1 winners while in Australia, the son of Acclamation has produced two winners from just five runners headed by his Group 3 winning son Valac and the stakes placed Berdibek.

Dark Angel's July Cup (Gr 1, 6f) winning son Harry Angel will shuttle to Australia for the third time this spring and will stand for a fee of $16,500 (inc GST) at Darley's Kelvinside farm.
