Raven’s Pass (Elusive Quality) sired his 37th stakes winner when Romantic Proposal (5 m ex Playwithmyheart by Diktak) took out the Dash Stakes (Listed, 6f) at the Curragh on Saturday. The Edward Lynam-trained mare settled at the rear of the field before travelling strongly into the race taking the lead inside the final furlong and then going on to score by one and a half lengths over Terresa Mendoza (Territories), with a further three quarters of a lengths back to Quarantine Dreams (Make Believe) back in third. Romantic Proposal was purchased by Joe Foely at the 2017 Goffs Orby Yearling Sale for €55,000 from the draft of Horse Park Stud.

Five for Kodi Bear
The David Loughnane-trained Kodi Bear (Kodiac) sired his fifth stakes winner and first Group winner when Go Bears Go (2 c ex In Dubai by Giant’s Causeway) made most of the running to win the Railway Stakes (Gr 2, 6f) at the Curragh on Saturday. The 150,000gns purchase by Alex Elliot and owners Amo Racing from this year’s Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale was last seen finishing a close second in the Norfolk Stakes (Gr 2, 5f) at Royal Ascot only nine days ago. Go Bears Go won by one and quarter lengths over Castle Star (Starspangledbanner) with a further length and quarter back to Masseto (Territories) back in third.

Second stakes winner for Galileo Gold
Tally Ho Stud-based first season sire Galileo Gold (Paco Boy) recorded his second stakes winner on Saturday when the Richard Hannon-trained System (2 f ex Spiritual Air by Royal Applause) won the Empress Fillies’ Stakes (Listed, 6f) at Newmarket. Having her second career start, having finished second on debut 13 days prior, System beat Desert Dreamer (Oasis Dream) by a neck. Galileo Gold sits sixth in the leading first season sires table in Europe by prize money with that table headed by Ardad (Kodiac).

185 for Exceed And Excel
Exceed And Excel (Danehill) sired his 185th stakes winner when the King Power Racing-owned Chil Chil (5 m ex Tiana by Diktat) won the Chipchase Stakes (Gr 3, 6f) at Newcastle on Saturday. The Andrew Balding-trained mare came from midfield under retained jockey Silvestre De Sousa to score by three quarters of a length over Good Effort (Shamardal) with a further half a length back to Diligent Harry (Due Diligence) back in third. Chil Chil was a 500,000gns purchase from the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 2 by SackvilleDonald from the draft of Rosyground Stud, she is a half-sister to the ill-fated Beat The Bank (Paco Boy) who was also owned by King Power Racing.

Eighth winner for Caravaggio
Coolmore sire Caravaggio (Scat Daddy) sired his eighth winner on Saturday when the Charlie Hills-trained Orazio (2 c ex Lady Fasion by Oasis Dream) won over six furlongs at Windsor. Making his career debut, Orazio scored an easy three length victory over City Runner - who is also by Caravaggio - with another length and a half back to Burning Bush (Fulbright) in third. Caravaggio sits third in the leading first season sires table in Europe by winners and occupies the same position in the table by prize money.
