Seventh winner for Churchill
First season sire Churchill (Galileo) sired his seventh winner when the Donnacha O’Brien-trained Unconquerable (2 c ex Rien Ne Vas Plus, by Oasis Dream) broke through for his first win at his fourth start in a seven furlong maiden at Naas on Saturday. The colt, who started favourite, scored by a length from I Am Magic (Magician) having finished second at his last two starts. Churchill will shuttle to Coolmore Australia for the third time this season where his advertised fee is $22,000 (inc GST).
72 for Dark Angel
Yeomanstown Stud’s Dark Angel (Acclamation) sired his 72nd stakes winner when the P K Siu-owned Came From The Dark (5 g ex Silver Shoon by Fasliyev) won the Coral Charge (Gr 3, 5f) at Sandown on Saturday. The Ed Walker-trained five-year-old scored by a neck over Arecibo (Invincible Spirit) with a further neck back to Happy Romance (Dandy Man) in third. Came From The Dark was a 480,000gns purchase by SackvilleDonald at the 2017 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1 from the draft of his breeder Yeomanstown Stud. Dark Angel will cover to southern hemisphere time for the first time this season.

49th Group winner for Frankel
Frankel (Galielo) continued his remarkable run of success siring his 49th Group winner when the Kirsten Rausing owned and bred Alpinista (4 f ex Alwilda by Hernando) ran out a ready winner of the Lancashire Oakes (Gr 2, 14m4f) at Haydock on Saturday. Alpinista scored by one and quarter lengths over Lady Hayes (Kodiac) with a further three quarters of a length back to Cabaletta (Mastercraftsman) in third, who are both trained by Roger Varian. Frankel has sired 15 stakes winners worldwide this year headed by four Group One winners - the Derby (Gr 1, 1m4f) winning pair Hurricane Lane and Adayar, along with Group One winners in Australia Hungry Heart and Converge.

Five for Muhaarar
Shadwell Stud’s Muhaarar (Oasis Dream) sired his fifth stakes winner when Auria (3 f ex Tiana by Diktat) won the Coral Distaff (LIsted, 1m) at Sandown on Saturday. The Andrew Balding-trained Auria led throughout to score by two and half lengths over Seattle Rock (Fastnet Rock) with a further three quarters of a length back to Glesga Gal (Lope De Vega) in third. Auria is raced by her breeder F Denniff and is a half-sister to Group 2 winner Beat The Bank (Paco Boy) and recent Group 3 Winner Chil Chil (Exceed And Excel).
