First Group One winner for Planteur
Planteur (Danehill Dancer) sired his first Group One winner when Trueshan (5 g ex Shao Line by General Holme) took out the Goodwood Cup (Gr 1, 2m) at Goodwood on Tuesday. The Alan King-trained gelding was confidently ridden by Hollie Doyle in the depleted field due to rain affected ground. The short-priced favourite scored by four lengths over Away He Goes (Farhh), with a further length and a half lengths back to Sir Ron Priestley (Australia) in third. Multiple Group One winner Stradivarius (Sea The Stars) was a late scratching from the race due to the soft conditions. Trueshan was a 31,000gns purchase by Highflyer Bloodstock and Alan King at the 2018 Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale. Planteur is based at Chapel Stud in England where his 2021 fee was advertised at £3,000.

74 for Dark Angel
The Yeomanstown Stud-based Dark Angel (Acclamation) sired his 74th stakes winner when Angel Bleu (2 c ex De La Vie by Galileo) won the Vintage Stakes (Gr 2, 7f) at Goodwood. Angel Bleu, who was backing up quickly after finishing second in the Pat Eddery Stakes (Listed, 7f) on Saturday at Ascot, scored by three quarters of a length over Berkshire Shadow (Dark Angel), with another length back to Austrian Theory (Awtaad) in third. Angel Bleu was a €100,000 purchase from the Arqana Deauville Select Yearling Sale and is out of a sister to Highland Reel (Galileo), winner of the 2014 Vintage Stakes. The same connections of owner Marc Chan and trainer Ralph Beckett teamed up in the following race when Kinross (Kingman), a previous stakes winner, narrowly won the Lennox Stakes (Gr 2, 7f).

35 for Declaration Of War
Declaration Of War (War Front) sired his 35th stakes winner when Caprice Des Dieux (3 g ex Neko by Dansili) impressively took out the Prix Pelleas (Listed, 2000m) at Compiegne on Tuesday. The Nicholas Clement-trained Caprice Des Dieux scored by five lengths over Alastor (Helmet) with a further length and half back to Media Stream (Frankel) in third. Caprice Des Dieux was purchased by Tina Rau Bloodstock and Nicholas Clement for €75,000 at the 2019 Arqana Deauville August Yearling Sale. The formerly Coolmore-based Declaration Of War was sold in 2018 to stand at stud in Japan.

First stakes winner for Gale Force Ten
Gale Force Ten (Oasis Dream) sired his first stakes winner when Galtee Mist (5 m ex Lilac Mist by Spectrum) won the Corrib Fillies & Mares Stakes (Listed, 7f) at Galway. Galtee Mist won by three and a half lengths over Lustown Baba (Alhebayeb) with a further half a length back to Royal Canford (Canford Cliffs) in third.
