Kirsten Rausing homebred Madame Ambassador breaks her maiden at Nottingham


Madame Ambassador (2 f ex Lady Jane Digby by Oasis Dream) broke her maiden at Nottingham on Tuesday to become the 11th first crop winner for Coolmore's Churchill (Galileo). 

Having her fourth career start, the Kirsten Rausing homebred kept on well in the closing stages to beat the favourite, On The River (Heerat), by a length and three quarters. 

Churchill will stand for a fee of $22,000 (inc GST) this year. He is currently sixth in the leading first season sires table in Europe by winners with the table headed by Cotai GLory (Exceed And Excel) who has sired 22 winners so far in his first crop.
