Clarence C breaks his maiden at Moulins on Monday
Clarence C (2 c ex Canterbury Lace by Danehill) broke his maiden over 1400 metres at Moulins on Monday and in doing so became the 15th winner from the first Northern Hemisphere-bred crop of Caravaggio (Scat Daddy).
Clarence C was bought for £10,000 at the Goffs UK Breeze Up Sale earlier this year from the draft of Mocklershill. He is out of the unraced Danehill (Danzig) mare Canterbury Lace making him a half-brother to Group One winner Chachamaidee (Fusaichi Pegasus).
Caravaggio's first Northern Hemisphere-bred crop includes three stakes winners and he is currently sitting fourth in the leading first season sires table in Europe by winners.
