Enable, Crystal Ocean and Waldgeist sit at the head of the latest edition of the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings with a rating of 128. Hong Kong-trained Beauty Generation sits in fourth place while Winx remains the highest-rated Australian-trained horse with a position of joint seventh with a rating of 125.
The victory of Vin Rosso in the Breeders' Cup Classic (Gr 1) moved him into the top five, improving his rating from 121 to 126 with his four and a quarter length victory at Santa Anita earlier this month. Japan is represented by two newly ranked horses in Almond Eye and Lys Gracieux with the latter becoming the first Japanese-trained horse to win the Cox Plate (Gr 1).
