The victory of 2-year-old colt Contrail in Saturday's Tokyo Sports Hai Nisai Stakes (Group 3) provided his late champion sire Deep Impact with his 144th stakes winner. Trained by Yoshito Yahagi and ridden by Ryan Moore, Contrail defeated fellow Deep Impact colt Al Jannah by five lengths.
