New Zealand Bloodstock’s Ready To Run Sale gets underway at Karaka on Wednesday.

Day 1 of New Zealand Bloodstock's Ready To Run Sale gets underway at Karaka on Wednesday morning. 

The first 210 lots catalogued will sell on Wednesday with lots 211 to 414 to be offered on Thursday. The sale has produced a number of high class winners who have won 19 Group 1 races and 140 stakes races in the past 6 seasons highlighted by multiple Group 1 winners Mongolian Khan, Turn Me Loose, Gingernuts and Beat The Clock. 

The Melbourne Spring Carnival saw a number of lots receive updates including lot 320, a Pride Of Dubai colt who is a close relative to Melbourne Cup (Group 1) winner Vow And Declare. Lot 320 will be offered by Wellfield Lodge and the bay son of Zabeel mare Claystone breezed in a time of 11.20. 

Lot 76, a son of Dissident, is from the family of Japanese Cox Plate (Group 1) winner Lys Gracieux. Out of European Group winner Ming Zhi Cosmos, the Dissident colt breezed in a time of 11.19. Meanwhile, lot 399, a filly by El Roca from the draft of Westbury Stud, is from the family of VRC Oaks (Group 1) winner Miami Bound. She breezed in 10.80 and is the first foal out of the unraced Onemorenomore mare Heartsareforus.

The week will also see an enriched broadcast of the sale with Trackside's Aidan Rodley brining sale highlights and interviews from Karaka and for the first time the broadcast will be aired on Free View Channel 200 in New Zealand as well as simulcast online at www.nzb.co.nz, livestreamed on NZB's Facebook page and on racing.com.

Selling gets underway at 11am.
