Zain Art (Excellent Art) - the dam of Airlie Stud Stakes (Gr 2, 6f) winner Aloha Star (Starspangledbanner) - was the headline act on the last day of the Goffs November Foal and Breeding Stock Sale on Monday after Camas Park Stud went to €390,000 to secure the mare from the Collegelands Stud draft.

Catalogued as Lot 892, Zain Art - who is the dam of one other winner - is herself a half-sister to Listed winner Battalion (Authorized).

The mare’s third dam is Danzigaway (Danehill), who is herself the dam of dual Grade 2 scorer Silent Name (Sunday Silence) and Listed winner and now sire Galiway (Galileo), while she is also the grandam of Group 3 winner Slalom (Intello) and Listed winner Folamour (Intello).

The mare was offered in foal to Highclere Stud-based sire Land Force (No Nay Never).

Later on in the day, Ballylinch went to €315,000 to secure Sindiyma (Kalanisi) and she was offered in foal to Footstepsinthesand (Giant’s Causeway)

Catalogued as Lot 922 and offered by Airlie Stud, the mare’s four winners are headed by Sikandarabad (Dr Fong), who won the Mornington Cup Prelude (Listed, 2000m) in 2019 and Group 3 winner Marie’s Diamond (Footstepsinthesand).

Sindiyma is herself a sister to Listed winner Sindirana - the dam of fellow stakes winner Sirrin (Sea The Stars), while further back this is the same family as multiple Group 1 winner and sire Sinndar (Grand Lodge).

At the close of trade on the final day, Goffs reported 173 mares sold for an aggregate of €5,479,600 at an average of €31,674, while the median sat at €14,000. Meanwhile, the auction house reported 655 lots sold over the four days of trade for a total receipts of €23,058,200. The average was €35,203, while the median finished at €18,000.
