Three-time Group 1 winner Bivouac (Exceed And Excel) is the sole Australian entry for the Dubai World Cup racing festival, which is due to take place on March 27 at Meydan.

The son of Exceed And Excel (Danehill) added a third elite level race to his record when taking out the VRC Sprint Classic (Gr 1, 1200m) in November and he holds an entry for the Al Quoz Sprint (Gr 1, 1200m).

The James Cummings-trained colt could face a high-class field with last season’s July Cup (Gr 1, 6f) winner Oxted (Mayson) also entered in the Group 1, while Australian-bred American Grade 1 winner Oleksandra (Animal Kingdom) also features among the entries.

Dual Australian Group 1 winner Addeybb (Pivotal) headlines the nominations for the Dubai Sheema Classic (Gr 1, 2410m) and will take up the entry should the gelding be forced to miss-out on his trip to Australia due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Sheema Classic has attracted other star names, including the Aidan O’Brien-trained Group 1 winner Mogul (Galileo) as well as Japanese Grade 1 scorer Chrono Genesis (Chronologist).

Meanwhile, the card is headlined by the Dubai World Cup (Gr 1, 2000m) and it has fielded a total of 176 nominations led by a strong USA representation including Pegasus World Cup (Gr 1, 9f) winner Knicks Go (Paynter), Bob Baffert-trained fellow Grade 1 scorer Charlatan (Speightstown) and elite level winner Code Of Honor (Noble Mission).

The nominations for the Dubai Turf (Gr 1, 1800m) are headed by the John Gosden-trained Lord North (Dubawi), who landed the Prince of Wales's Stakes (Gr 1, 1m2f) at Royal Ascot in June, while the Dubai Golden Shaheen (Gr 1, 1200m) has attracted 184 nominations, including US Grade 1 winner C Z Rocket (City Zip).
