Rich Hill Stud has announced the fees for the five stallions that the operation will stand in 2022, Proisir (Choisir) standing for NZ$17,500 (plus GST), up from NZ$12,500 (plus GST) a year ago.

"Rich Hill is in a unique position with our stallion roster. We offer three proven international stallions and two young stallions with world class credentials," Rich Hill's John Thompson said.

"Our stallion line-up reflects the global success of the New Zealand-bred product while our fees give our clients an opportunity for economic return."

Proisir's daughter Levante has flown the flag for her sire this year winning twice at Group 1 level. The son of Choisir (Danehill Dancer) is currently sitting fourth in the leading sires table in New Zealand by earnings with sons Dark Destroyer and Soldier Boy both three-year-old stakes winners this season.

"The progeny resulting from Proisir's biggest and best quality books are currently weanlings. He has consistently upgraded his mares and his profile will continue to rise in future years," Thompson said.

Vadamos (Monsun) will again shuttle to Rich Hill Stud and stand for NZ$15,000 (+ GST), up from NZ$12,500 (plus GST) in 2021. He is currently the leading second crop sire in New Zealand with his first crop headed by his stakes winning daughter La Crique, who has won twice at Group 2 level this season and also finished second in the New Zealand Derby (Gr 1, 2400m).

The roster is completed by Shocking (Street Cry) (NZ$12,500 + GST), Satono Aladdin (Deep Impact) (NZ$12,500 +GST) and Ace High (High Chaparral) (NZ$10,000).

Ace High's first crop yearlings were well received at Karaka earlier this year with a top price of NZ$160,000, while his 12 Book One yearlings averaged NZ$94,000, almost ten times his service fee.

"Ace High is a magnificent physical specimen by High Chaparral from a Redoute's Choice mare out of a mare by Sunday Silence," Thompson said.

"He is a dual Group One winner from the family of Danehill and Northern Dancer so he has all the credentials for stud success."
