Barnmate Proisir’s fee increased to NZ$12,500 

After missing last season due to the coronavirus pandemic, Japanese Group 1 winner Satono Aladdin (Deep Impact) will return to Rich Hill Stud, where he will stand for a fee of NZ$12,500 (plus GST), the fee he stood for in 2019. 

The son of Deep Impact’s first southern hemisphere bred yearlings were well received by the buying bench, with 20 of his first crop selling for an aggregate of $1,315,829 at an average of $65,791. 

“It is good news for the breeding industry that Satono Aladdin will return again from Japan,” Rich Hill managing director John Thompson said.

“With his superb pedigree, athleticism and physical presence, he is arguably the best-credentialed son of Deep Impact to go to stud in Australasia. His first crop yearlings sold so well for good reason.”   

Meanwhile, Proisir (Choisir) will stand the 2021 breeding season for an increased fee of NZ$12,500 (plus GST), having stood last season for NZ$9,000 (plus GST). 

First-season shuttler Vadamos (Monsun) has had his 2020 fee of NZ$15,000 (plus GST) slightly shaved back to NZ$12,500 (plus GST) for the 2021 breeding season. 

Vadamos has sired impressive last-start winner Art de Triomphe and talented filly Ivanka, who recently finished runner-up at Hastings.

“We believe we are in for very exciting times over the next 12 months as the progeny of Vadamos turn three-years-old,” Thompson said.

“His sales yearlings have been in great demand over the past two years, and he looks a great chance to sire those Classic horses for which people come to New Zealand to buy.”

The roster is completed by Ace High (High Chaparral) and Shocking (Street Cry), who will stand for NZ$10,000 (plus GST) and NZ$8,500 (plus GST) respectively.
