Savabeel heads five stallion roster while Ocean Park's fee rises

Savabeel (Zabeel) heads the Waikato Stud 2021 roster and will stand for an unchanged fee of NZ$100,000 (plus GST) while Ocean Park (Thorn Park) has been subject to a fee increase and will stand the 2021 for NZ$30,000 (plus GST), up from NZ$20,000 (plus GST) a year ago. 

The sire of 114 stakes winners headed by 23 Group 1 winners, Savabeel has enjoyed another successful season on the track siring 18 stakes winners including Group 1 winners Probabeel, Amarelinha, Concert Hall and Mo’Unga. He sits at the head of the leading sires table in New Zealand by earnings, almost NZ$1,000,000 ahead of nearest rival Fastnet Rock (Danehill) and also heads the table by winners and stakes winners. 

Ocean Park meanwhile has also had a successful season with eight stakes winners including All Aged Stakes (Gr 1, 1400m) winner Kolding and Auckland Cup (Gr 1, 3200m) scorer Ocean Billy. This pair are two of 15 stakes winners for the son of Thorn Park who now has five crops of racing age. 

Super Seth (Dundeel) covered a book of 130 mares in his first season at stud last year and will stand the 2021 season for an unchanged fee of NZ$35,000 (plus GST). 

Meanwhile Tivaci (High Chaparral) and Ardrossan (Redoute’s Choice) will stand for unchanged fees of NZ$12,500 (plus GST) and NZ$3,000 (plus GST) respectively.
