The Segenhoe Stud-consigned I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) filly out of Group placed mare Villa Carlotta (Street Cry) topped Friday's session of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale after being bought by James Harron Bloodstock for $1.1 million.
Sold as Lot 669, the filly is the second foal out of her dam who is herself a daughter of Group Three winning Redoute's Choice (Danehill) mare Florentina.
The filly, who was the fifth million dollar lot for her sire at the sale so far, was bred by John Camilleri's Fairway Thoroughbreds who raced Villa Carlotta.
"We like to hand pick a few very special fillies during the year and she's a standout," Harron said.
"She's an absolutely beautiful filly with a terrific pedigree.
"There's quite a bit happening on her page – a lovely filly by a stallion that's doing a great job with all his progeny, but particularly his fillies and she comes off a great nursery in Segenhoe.
"Fillies are a very long term investment – when you're racing them and breeding with them. You've got nice residual there through the family. We look at these as a five, six, seven, eight year plan.
"Hopefully we can race well and breed well and develop the family."
Harron said no decision had been made as yet as to who would train the filly.
"We'll get her broken in and get a line on her and work out who is going to best suit her as a trainer," he said. She might not be super early, we'll give her a little time – she's quite a big filly, with a lot of scope. I think it's important we choose the right trainer."
I Am Invincible has now had 39 lots sold with his average sitting at $563,462 while Not A Single Doubt (Redoute's Choice) leads the way with ten yearlings having sold for an average of $623,000.
Segenhoe Stud sit second in the vendors table by average having sold 21 lots at an average of $510,476 behind Silverdale Farm who have sold six yearlings at an average of $612,500.
