The Snitzel (Redoute's Choice) filly out of Sweet Sherry (Bel Esprit) became the 37th million dollar yearling by the sire to sell and was the most expensive filly sold on Thursday when she was bought for $1.35 million by Badgers Bloodstock and Glentree Thoroughbreds for $1.35 million.

Offered by Silverdale Farm, as Lot 590 the filly is the first living foal out of Group Two winning Bel Esprit (Royal Academy) mare Sweet Sherry, herself a half-sister to fellow Group Two winner Arinosa (Dash For Cash).

Earlier on in the session another yearling by Snitzel realised seven figures when the colt out of Red Lodge (Midshipman) was bought by Tom Magnier for $1.1 million. Sold by Emirates Park as Lot 428, the colt is the second foal out of US-bred stakes winning Midshipman (Unbridled's Song) mare Red Lodge whose third dam is dual Grade One winner Memories Of Silver (Silver Hawk).

Over the first three days of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale Snitzel has had 28 lots sold at an average of $495,179. He stood for a fee of $220,000 (inc GST) in 2019.
