A total of 514 "phenomenal yearlings" have been catalogued for the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale — the auction house's showpiece sale — which begins its two-day run at Riverside Stables in Sydney on April 7.

The catalogue, which is now online, features siblings to 181 and 52 Group 1 winners including a three-quarters brother to The Autumn Sun (Redoute's Choice) (Lot 339), by Snitzel (Redoute's Choice), a brother to brilliant filly Sunlight (Zoustar) (Lot 212), a Sebring (More Than Ready) half-sister to Loving Gaby (I Am Invincible) (Lot 49), a brother to Estijaab (Snitzel) (Lot 160) and a Divine Prophet (Choisir) half-brother to Jameka (Myboycharlie) (Lot 62). There is also progeny out of 170 stakes-winning mares including prolific elite level winners; More Joyous (More Than Ready) (Lot 87), Miss Finland (Redoute's Choice) (Lot 69) and First Seal (Fastnet Rock) (Lot 447).

Inglis' general manager of bloodstock sales and marketing Sebastian Hutch said this year's Easter catalogue had something for everyone.

"It is a phenomenal group of yearlings in every respect and we are very grateful for the opportunity to offer them to the market," said Hutch.

"The quality is extraordinarily high and it is a great compliment to the standing of the sale that breeders and vendors are yet again sending their best yearlings in great quantity.

"The stats are there for all to see and it is a simple fact that buyers are more likely to source a top-class horse at Easter than at any other sale in the southern hemisphere."

Meanwhile, the progeny of 58 stallions are represented in the catalogue, including Australian three-time champion stallion Snitzel (Redoute's Choice) (67), Yarraman Park's gun-sire I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) (49), Fastnet Rock (Danehill) (24), Not A Single Doubt (Danehill) (25), Exceed And Excel (Danehill) and Arrowfield Stud's late breed-shaping sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill), who has ten lots set to go through the ring.

As well as a host of progeny by proven sires, there will also be yearlings from the first crop of 15 exciting young sires, including Coolmore's Triple Crown-winning shuttler American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile) (25), Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Extreme Choice (Not A Single Doubt) (5), Gold Slipper Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Capitalist (Sebring) (26) and Japanese superstar Maurice (Screen Hero), who will be represented by eight lots.

At the close of trade last year Inglis reported the aggregate was $122,235,500, making it the second-best Easter Sale ever behind only the 2008 phenomenon and Hutch said the Easter sale had consistently continued to be the source of top-class performers on the track.

"Since 2018 alone Inglis Easter has produced more Group 1 winners than any other Australasian sale including the likes of The Autumn Sun, Merchant Navy, Estijaab, Trapeze Artist, Exceedance, Loving Gaby, Super Seth, Russian Revolution, the list goes on and on," said Hutch.

"That list covers a wide range of price brackets too including with each of Funstar, Aristia and Land Of Plenty all selling at Easter for no more than $80,000 apiece.

"Interest in the sale from domestic and international buyers is already incredibly strong, but we expect to heighten further as soon as people get a chance to read the full catalogue."

There are over 60 individual vendors represented, with Arrowfield Stud again the leading vendor with 63 entries ahead of Coolmore Stud (36), Widden Stud (26), Newgate Farm (25) and Newhaven Park (19).

The sale gets underway at 10am at Riverside on both days.
