Dual Group 1-winning mare In Her Time (Time Thief) will be offered at the Inglis Chairman's Sale at Riverside Stables on May 8.

Owned by Orbis Bloodstock and Peter Brown, In Her Time has proven to be among the top echelon of sprinters in Australia and has won nine of her 27 career starts which have seen her earn over $3.7 million, headlined by victories in the Galaxy Handicap (Gr 1, 1100m) and the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes (Gr 1, 1000m).

The daughter of Time Thief (Redoute's Choice) has been a model of consistency throughout her career and her record also includes a further six-placings at elite level in the Stradbroke Handicap (Gr 1, 1350m) (2nd, 2017), Manikato Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) (2nd, 2017), Tattersalls Tiara (Gr 1, 1350m) (3rd, 2017), TJ Smith Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) (3rd, 2018), and twice in the VRC Sprint Classic (Gr 1, 1200m) (2nd, 2018 and 3rd, 2019), while she also has another four stakes victories to her name.

During an illustrious racetrack career the mare has beaten a whole host of top-class sprinters including the likes of Santa Ana Lane (Lope De Vega), Pierata (Pierro), Redzel (Snitzel), Trapeze Artist (Snitzel), Brave Smash (Tosen Phantom), Alizee (Sepoy), Sunlight (Zoustar), Kementari (Lonhro), Shoals (Fastnet Rock), Global Glamour (Star Witness), English (Encosta De Lago), Booker (Written Tycoon), Redkirk Warrior (Notnowcato), Houtzen (I Am Invincible), Osborne Bulls (Street Cry) and Written By (Written Tycoon) among other stars of the track.

The Kris Lees-trained mare finished a good fourth in a trial at Wyong earlier this month and will likely attempt to regain her crown in The Galaxy on March 21 at Rosehill.

"She's a world-class sprinter and she's proven that by competing against and defeating some of the highest-rated sprinters on the planet the past two to three years,'' Orbis' Paul King said.

"We took her to Hong Kong late last year and were confident that she was ready to produce a career best, but unfortunately she had to be withdrawn the day before due to a minor setback from which she has made a full recovery and proved that with a brilliant trial earlier this week.

"Races like The Galaxy, the TJ Smith and the Robert Sangster in Adelaide are on the agenda for the autumn all going well, while there are plenty of races for her in Brisbane subsequent to the sale date.''

Part-owner and co-breeder Peter Brown, who has had a long-held association with In Her Time's family via his association with Denise and John Cobcroft, added: "She is a marvellous mare and as good as any sprinter in the country at her best, as her form shows.

"She is the best runner from a family that has been producing quality speed horses for generations and the pedigree seems to get better every year, as seen with her close relative Yes Yes Yes coming into the page this year.''

In Her Time is one of five winners out of Zeditave (The Judge) mare Hell It's Hot, who is herself a half-sister to stakes-winning trio Hot As Hell (County), Flaming Hot (County) and Craig's Dragon (Catbird). Meanwhile, she also counts Sin Sin Sin (Fantastic Light) - the dam of The Everest (1200m) winner Yes Yes Yes (Rubick) - among her half siblings.

Inglis' NSW Bloodstock Manager Chris Russell said: "In Her Time has been an extraordinary mare over a number of seasons and it is a privilege to be in a position to offer to market a mare of her quality.

"I saw her at Kris Lees' stables a little over 12 months ago and she is a beautiful mare, so it's really a very exciting and rare opportunity.

"The sale is shaping up to be something really special with the likes of In Her Time, Unforgotten and a host of other really appealing mares, so we are really looking forward to it.''

Group 1 winner Unforgotten (Fastnet Rock), Arabian Gold (Dubawi) and Volks Lightning (Volksraad) are among other highlights catalogued for the boutique auction in May.

The Chairman's Sale will again be conducted under a 0 per cent sales commission structure.
