93 lots catalogued for sale to be held from May 25 - 26
A total of 93 lots have been catalogued for the unreserved Rosemont Exclusive Online Sale which will be held from May 25 to 26.
The catalogue features 38 wenalings by sires including Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible), Capitalist (Written Tycoon), Exceed And Excel (Danehill), Russian Revolution (Snitzel), So You Think (High Chaparral), Starspangledbanner (Choisir), Written Tycoon (Iglesia) and Zoustar (Northern Meteor). Broodmares catalogued include ten stakes performers including Gold Rush (So You Think) who will be offered in foal to Savabeel (Zabeel) and Your Song (Fastnet Rock) mare Split Lip who will be offered in foal to Zoustar.
Catalogued as Lot 40, Gold Rush is out of the Group 2 winner Gold Rocks (Oratorio) making her a half-sister to the Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed filly Gold Fever (Savabeel). The six-year-old mare herself won the Matamata Breeders' Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) in 2016 and has produced two foals to date; a colt by Savabeel and a filly by I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit). She was covered again by Savabeel last October.
Split Lip meanwhile is catalogued as Lot 69. The five-year-old mare won the Dequetteville Stakes (Listed, 1050m) at Morphettville in 2017. Out of the dual winner Little Less Lip (Blevic), who is a half-sister to the dam of Listed winner Oneninetyfive (Blevic), she was covered by the Widden Stud-based Zoustar last November during her first season at stud.
Mares in foal to Brazen Beau, Capitalist, Shamus Award (Snitzel) and Starspangledbanner are also catalogued.
Rosemont open days will be held from May 19 to 22 with inspections beginning at 10am, 12pm and 2pm. Booking is essential. Independent assessment notes on the broodmares can be obtained from Belmont Bloodstock's Damon Gabbedy and those on the weanlings from Ian MacPherson.
