Swindler (Invincible Spirit) - who won twice for trainer Ed Walker - was the headline act on the second day of the Tattersalls August Sale on Tuesday after Oliver St Lawrence, acting on behalf of Fawzi Nass, went to 150,000gns to secure the gelding.

Catalogued as Lot 332, the son of Invincible Spirit (Green Desert), who was fourth last time out in the Stewards' Cup (6f), is one of three winners out of winning Selkirk (Sharpen Up) mare Priceless Jewel.

Priceless Jewel herself is out of Listed winner and Group 1-placed mare My Branch (Distant Relative), who is the dam of Haydock Sprint (Gr 1, 6f) Tante Rose (Barathea) and Listed winner Bay Tree (Daylami), while she is also the grandam of dual Group 1 winners Dubawi Heights (Dubawi) and now sire Make Believe (Makfi).

"He is to go to Bahrain, that will be his base," said Nass. "He is a very talented horse, he goes on fast ground and can sit off the pace. There might be a race for him on our international day, but he could make up to be good enough to go to Dubai or Saudi."

Swindler was previously owned and bred by Bjorn Nielsen and trained by Ed Walker.
