Youngster impressed ahead of Magic Millions sale on Tuesday
A colt by Darley shuttler Territories (Invincible Spirit) was the headline act of the final breeze on Friday ahead of Tuesday’s Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale, with the youngster clocking a slick time of 10.30 seconds for his 200 metre gallop - the third quickest of the whole catalogue.
Catalogued as Lot 45 and offered as part of the Symphony Lodge draft, the colt is out of winning Danehill Dancer (Danehill) mare Rosalita, who has already produced three winners from four foals to race.
Further back the colt hails from the same family as Group 1 winner Dumka (Kashmir) - the dam of 1988 2,000 Guineas (Gr 1, 1m) winner Doyoun (Mill Reef), Group 3-winning trio Dalsaan (Habitat), Dafayna (Habitat) and Dolpour (Sadler’s Wells) as well as Listed winner Dayzaan (Riverman).
Others to impress at Friday’s session was Lot 28 a colt by El Roca (Fastnet Rock) and Lot 213 a filly by Press Statement (Hinchinbrook), who both stopped the clock at 10.75 seconds.
The colt by El Roca is offered as part of the Baramul Stud draft and he is out of the unraced O’Reilly (Last Tycoon) mare O'Erin, who has produced two winners from three foals to race.
O'Erin herself is half-sister to Group 3 winner Yanna Marie (Lord Ballina), while further back this is the same family as Group 1 winners Krivinsky (Stravinsky) and Acushla Marie (Lord Ballina) and Listed winner Kalamata (Desert Prince) - the dam of Group 3 scorer Stirling Grove (Mossman).
Meanwhile, the filly by Vinery Stud-based sire Press Statement is being offered for sale by Rothwell Park and she is out of the unraced Animal Kingdom (Leroidesanimaux) mare Anglissa, who is herself a daughter of Danglissa (Danzero), who won the Flight Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) in 1999.
Danglissa is also the grandam of dual Group 3 winner Sweet Redemption (Snitzel) and Listed winners Unite And Conquer (Hinchinbrook) and Euryale (Lonhro).
