How many years have you been bringing a draft to this sale for? 
This is our second year of offering horses to the NZB Ready to Run Sale. 

Who are your most successful sale graduates? 
As we are only in our second year we have only had a couple of graduates to the races, a winner in Melbourne among them. We did sell a beautifully bred filly by Tavistock to Cambridge Stud last year which was the highlight of our sale.

Is there anything in particular that you look for in a yearling that you are buying to breeze? 
Good conformation, nice type and presence, nice head, good loose walk. 

How do you think your draft this year compares to last years? 
We think we have a very wide range of horses for all buyers, both by proven sires and horses by exciting new up and coming sires like Belardo. Derek broke in a lot of Belardos for Haunui Farm this year and we are very excited about their future.

Of your 2020 draft which are your standouts? 
We really like the Contributor colt. We also have another two lovely colts, one by Iffraaj out of Hi Gorgeous and the Belardo - Short Tale.

How do you think the sale will be affected by the current travel / COVID situation? 
Covid is of course going to affect the sale with no one being able to travel here from overseas, but NZB is doing an amazing job to have the online page and online selling platform to the highest standards with lots of footage. There are lots of agents here to help and we are going to the sale with a positive vibe.

Have you seen any changes in the way breeze up horses are prepared in New Zealand over the past few years? 
We think the education and quality of the horses have really improved over the years and that is full credit to all the preparers and breeders we have here in New Zealand and NZB for the great sale.
