Mare by Frankel headlines last day of December Breeding Stock Sale
An unraced mare by Juddmonte Farms-based sire Frankel (Galileo) Bursa stole the spotlight on the final day of the Arqana December Deauville Breeding Stock Sale on Tuesday after Haras Du Quesnay went to €38,000 for the Haras de Bouquetot-consigned mare.
Catalogued as Lot 784, the mare was offered in foal to Al Wukair (Dream Ahead), having produced a filly by Ectot (Hurricane Run) in 2019 and a filly by Al Wukair this year.
Bursa herself is a sister to Group 1 Plumania (Anabaa) - the dam of Group 2 scorer Plumatic (Dubawi) and Listed winner Maniaco (Galileo).
Bursa also counts Balladeuse (Singspiel) - the dam of Group 1 winner Left Hand (Dubawi). While further afield this is the same family as Group 3 winner Flop Shot (New Approach).
