Colt - I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) - Zighy Bay by Tapit
Consigned by: Attunga Stud

Progeny out of the placed Tapit (Pulpit) mare Zighy Bay have been a permanent fixture at the Gold Coast sale over the past years, with three of her progeny being sold by Attunga Stud at the Queensland Sale, including this colt’s half-sister Qafila (Not A Single Doubt), who was purchased by Shadwell Stud for $450,000 at the 2017 edition of the sale. The son of I Am Invincible hails from the same family as Japanese Grade 1 winner Mozu Superflare (Speightstown) and American Grade 3 scorer Sacristy (Pulpit) - the dam of Listed winner and Grade 1-placed Flor De La Mar (Tiznow).

Colt - Pierro (Lonhro) - Zuzao by Delzao
Consigned by : Twin Hills Stud

The son of Pierro (Lonhro) is out of winning Delzao (Encosta De Lago) mare Zuzao, making him a half-brother to 2017 J J Atkins Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Capital Gain (Ad Valorem). Further back the colt’s third dam is Group 2 scorer Darling Take Care (Bending Away), while this is also the same family as Group 3-winning duo Regent Diamond (Voodoo Rhythm) and Mr Sands (Mister Big Louie).

Colt - Written Tycoon (Iglesia) - Afleet Esprit by Bel Esprit

Written Tycoon (Iglesia) will be a stallion on many people’s lists at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale and given the way he has hit the ground running this season, through the exploits for his Group 1-winning progeny Ole Kirk, Pippie and Odeum and this colt looks certain garner a lot of attention on the first day. The colt is out of Afleet Esprit by Bel Esprit (Royal Academy), who landed the Thousand Guineas Prelude (Gr 2, 1400m) in 2014. Further back the colt shares a page with Group 3 scorer Triple Gold (Gold Crest) and Listed scorer It’s A Miracle (Hula Chief).

Colt - Written Tycoon (Iglesia) - Alcatraz by Fastnet Rock

Another son of the now Arrowfield Stud-based sire Written Tycoon, who is sure to turn heads at this year’s sale. The colt is out of placed Fastnet Rock (Danehill) mare Alcatraz, who has already produced Group 1-placed Kubrick (Shooting To Win). Alcatraz herself is a half-sister to Listed winner Chic Choice (Redoute’s Choice) and stakes performer Rock Of Fortune (Fastnet Rock) - the dam of stakes winner Hard Rock Girl (All Too Hard). Further back top-class performers Fairy King Prawn (Danehill) and Easy Rocking (Barathea) also feature on the page.

Filly - I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) - Bidii Babe - Not A Single Doubt

Yarraman Park’s I Am Invincible always proves popular at the Gold Coast, with the stallion leading the way last year, when having 42 yearlings sell for an enormous $20,245,000, at an average of $482,024 and there is nothing to suggest his progeny this year will be any different. This filly is out of Listed-winning Not A Single Doubt (Redoute’s Choice) mare Bidii Babe and is from the same family as South African Grade 3 winner Queen’s Command (Commands) and Group 3 scorer Shazee Lee (Ready’s Image).

Filly - I Am Invincible - Bonaria by Redoute’s Choice

This filly is from one of the best families in the Australian stud book, out of 2014 Empire Rose Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Bonaria (Redoute’s Choice), who is herself a half-sister to Group 3 winner Legally Bay (Snippets) - the dam of dual Group 1 winner Merchant Navy (Fastnet Rock) and Group 2 scorer Jolie Bay (Fastnet Rock). Meanwhile, Bonaria’s other half-sister produced Group 3-winning duo Tessera (Medaglia d’Oro) and Montsegur (New Approach). Being by I Am Invincible out of a Redoute’s Choice mare, the filly is bred on the same cross as Group 3-winning pair Houtzen and Overshare.

Colt - Snitzel (Redoute’s Choice) - Bonny O’Reilly - O’Reilly

Out of Listed-winning O’Reilly (Last Tycoon) mare Bonny O’Reilly, the colt will have many admirers given O’Reilly’s success as a broodmare sire, with 90 of his daughters producing stakes winners, headed by 15 Group 1 winners. Bonny O’Reilly herself is a half-sister to fellow stakes winner Pretty To Sea (Ocean Park). Meanwhile, dual Group 1 winners Vision And Power (Carnegie) and Glamour Puss (Tale Of The Cat) feature under the colt’s third dam. This is also the same family as Listed scorer Escadaire (O’Reilly) and Group 2 scorer Rare Insight (O’Reilly) - the dam of Group 1 winner Steps In Time (Danehill Dancer).

Filly - I Am Invincible - Catalonia by Flying Spur

This daughter of I Am Invincible is out of Listed-placed Flying Spur (Danehill) mare Catalonia, who has already produced two winners headed by Inglis Banner 2YO Stakes (RL, 1000m) winner Espanniyah (I Am Invincible). Catalonia herself is half-sister to Group 3 winner Jorda (Exceed And Excel). Meanwhile the filly’s third dam is six time winner Road To Glory (Provideo) - the dam of Listed scorer Le Mans (Quest For Fame), while she is also the grandam of Group 3 winners Detours (Ad Valorem), Aichi (Strategic) and Hioctdane (Strada).

Another colt by Arrowfield Stud-resident Snitzel (Redoute’s Choice), the Baramul Stud-consigned yearling is out of three-time winner Chateau Cheval (High Chaparral). Chateau Cheval is herself a half-sister to Group 1 winner and Vinery Stud-based Casino Prince (Flying Spur), Group 3 winner Tagus (Encosta De Lago) as well as Listed scorers Lord Of The Land (Timber Country) and Metallurgical (Redoute’s Choice) and the grandam of JJ Atkins Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Prince Fawaz (Fastnet Rock).

Filly - I Am Invincible - Choose by Starcraft

This daughter of I Am Invincible is out of Group 3-placed mare Choose (Starcraft), who is herself a daughter of winning Redoute’s Choice (Danehill) mare Choices Are. Choices Are is a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Bawalaksana (Straight Strike) and Damaschino (Last Tycoon), whose best victory came at Group 3 level. Choices Are is also a half-sister to Group 3-winning pair Arbeitsam (Snitzel) and Payroll (Not A Single Doubt).

By Fastnet Rock (Danehill), who is enjoying a lucrative season, the colt is out of dual winner Ciarlet (Northern Meteor), who is herself a sister to dual Group 1 winner and now Widden Stud-based sire Zoustar and stakes-placed Emperor Of The Sun (Galileo). Further back this is the same family as Group 3 winner Testashadow (Testa Rossa) and Group 2 scorer Dusty Star (General Nediym).
