Son of Arrowfield shuttler Shalaa sells for €250,000 to Meridian International and Mandore
Miami Voice, a three-year-old son of Arrowfield shuttler Shalaa (Invincible Spirit) topped the Arqana Horses In Training Online Sale on Friday when he was bought for €250,000 by Meridian International and Mandore International Agency.
A winner on debut at Fontainebleau earlier this month, Miami Voice was offered by trainers Alessandro and Guiseppe Botti and will remain in the yard.
“We bought him for a syndicate of four owners and the plan is to keep him with his trainer,” said Nicholas de Watrigant of Mandore International Agency.
"We've been following him and liked what he did on his debut - he beat some nice horses from good yards. He's a son of Shalaa, who is doing very well with his first three-year-olds, and he's a very good-looking horse."
Miami Voice is out of unraced mare Lou (Kendargent), a half-sister to triple Group 1 winning sire Charm Spirit (Invincible Spirit).
Mandore also bought a winning and stakes placed son of Swettenham Stud shuttler Toronado (High Chaparral) when going to €150,000 for three-year-old colt Sotoro.
“I’ve bought him for (Madaket Stables),” said de Watrigant. “He’ll stay in France in view to running in the Prix Djebel if the ground is good because Edouard says he is in very good form. However, if it rains, he’ll go straight to the United States.”
Of the six lots offered three sold.
