233 two-year-olds catalogued and 36 horses in training for the sale

The catalogue for the 2021 Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up and Horses in Training Sale can now be viewed online at www.tattersalls.com. Numbering 233 breeze up two-year-olds and 36 horses in training, the sale takes place April 28 - 30, with the two-year-olds breezing at Newmarket's Rowley Mile Racecourse on April 28 starting at 9.00am.

The catalogue includes two-year-olds by Make Believe (Makfi), Sea The Moon (Sea The Stars), Fastnet Rock (Danehill), Exceed And Excel (Danehill) and Mastercraftsman (Danehill Dancer), 

In addition there are 19 first crop sires with two year olds catalogued including juveniles bu shuttlers Churchill (Galileo), Almanzor (Wootton Bassett), Highland Reel (Galileo), National Defense (Invincible Spirit) and Ribchester (Iffraaj). 

The Horses in Training section of the Guineas Sale has quickly established itself as a consistent source of high class performers and the 2021 renewal includes the Juddmonte Farms consigned three-year-old Alpha King (Kingman), who has been second on two of his three starts and has a ‘Timeform’ rating of 82. 

Commenting on the catalogue, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said: “The Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale has a long established reputation for producing top class performers at all levels of the market and last year’s Ascot Group 2 winner Trueshan, bought for 31,000gns, is another fine advertisement for the sale. This year’s Guineas Breeze Up has been very well supported by the leading consignors and features two-year-olds which will appeal to a cross-section of buyers, alongside a number of high class proven performers.”
