Group 2 winner among the 37 lots offered via online auction.
Group 2 winning Savabeel (Zabeel) mare Yearn is the headline act in the quality 37 lot Autumn Online Broodmare Sale on Gavelhouse Plus.
Recently retired, Yearn won the Auckland Thoroughbred Breeders' Stakes (Gr 2, 1400m) and was placed third in the Thorndon Mile (Gr, 1600m). The daughter of Savabeel is out of the winning two-year-old mare Princess Uno (Danehill).
"We're very pleased with how this concept was received by vendors and we have a good solid catalogue with a bit of European flair plus Australian sires and our own NZ suffix featuring heavily," said gavelhouse.com representative Harry King.
"This should help garner plenty of interest considering two of the three highest priced yearlings at Sydney Easter and the highest on the Gold Coast this year were out of Kiwi mares."
Other highlights include:
· Arija – out of a Group 1 winner in The Mighty Lions (Grosvenor), Arija (Charm Spirit)is a half-sister to the dam of Lion's Roar (Contributor).
· Dancing Attendance – a half-sister to Precedence (Zabeel) and closely related to Tavistock (Montjeu), Dancing Attendance is a Group placed Danehill Dancer (Danehill)mare who is in foal to Contributer (High Chaparral).
· Dariana – Queensland Derby (Gr 1, 2400m) winning Redoute's Choice (Danehill) mare who is the dam of two winners to date.
· Destined – dam of NZB Filly of the Year Fix (Iffraaj) offered with a positive cover to Almanzor (Wootton Bassett).
· Enide – a winning European mare with a high-class international pedigree offered with a positive Almanzor cover.
· Exquisite Jewel – a four-time winning Redoute's Choice mare offered in foal to Contributer.
Other covering sires in the catalogue include Belardo (Lope De Vega), Charm Spirit (Invincible Spirit), Darci Brahma (Danehill), Eminent (Frankel), Ocean Park (Thorn Park), Per Incanto (Street Cry), Rageese (Street Cry), Shamexpress (O'Reilly), Time Test (Dubawi), Turn Me Loose (Iffraaj), U S Navy Flag (War Front) and Vadamos (Monsun) while there are foals at foot by Turn Me Loose and Vadamos.
