534 weanlings and broodmares catalogued for two day sale.

Inglis has announced that 534 weanlings and broodmares have been catalogued for their Great Southern Sale which will be held at Oaklands on June 13 and 14. 

In total, 409 weanlings will be offered across the two days while 125 broodmares will be offered on the second day of the sale. 

Recent sale graduates include Group 1 winners Gytrash (Lope De Vega), Montefilia (Kermadec), Behemoth (All Too Hard) and On The Bubbles (Brazen Beau) and Inglis' Victorian bloodstock manager James Price said that this year's renewal offers both breeders and pinhookers a great opportunity to buy quality stock.  

"You only need to look at that list of recent graduates to know that if you're serious about finding a lucrative pinhook prospect, a quality galloper or a high-end producer, Great Southern is a sale that must be taken very seriously,'' said Price. 

"Year after year the sale produces some fantastic results for pinhookers and on the back of a buoyant round of yearling sales, this is another fabulous opportunity for investors to acquire quality young stock or broodmares carrying potential stars for end users or high-priced future yearlings for traders and breeders."

Weanlings by Australia's leading sires have been catalogued as well as the first crops of stallions including Grunt (O'Reilly), Harry Angel (Dark Angel), Justify (Scat Daddy) and Trapeze Artist (Snitzel). Meanwhile, the broodmares include proven producers as well as younger mares in foal to stallions including Capitalist (Written Tycoon), Dundeel (High Chaparral), Exceedance (Exceed And Excel), The Autumn Sun (Redoute's Choice) and Toronado (High Chaparral). 

Supplementary entries remain open until June 4.
