Mystical View (Canford Cliffs) topped the Magic Millions Perth Winter Racehorse Sale on Sunday when purchased for $160,000 by Gold Front Thoroughbreds. 

Offered as part of the Peters Investments Pty Ltd Reduction Sale, that provided the three highest priced lots of the sale, Listed placed Mystical View was catalogued as Lot 13. She has raced ten times for two wins and two placings - both of those at Listed level - for trainer Adam Durrant. She is out of winning More Than Ready (Southern Halo) mare Mystical Miss, making her a half-sister to Listed winner Mysterious Miss (Animal Kingdom). Her second dam meanwhile is dual Group One winner Magical Miss (Danehill). 

Mystical View was the only lot to sell for six figures, with the second top lot being Morning Song (Bernardini) who was bought for $75,000 by John Chalmers Bloodstock while State Attorney (Haradasun) sold to Michael Pike for $55,000. 

During the sale, all 32 lots that were offered sold for a total of $696,500. The average sat at $21,755 while the median was $14,000. 

The most expensive lot to sell during the Perth Winter Yearling Sale was a daughter by A Lot (Tapit) out of Princess Hallowell (Oratorio) who was bought by Luke Fernie for $50,000. Offered as part of the Warwick Racing Dispersal, the filly was catalogued as Lot 44 and is the fourth foal out of dual winner Princess Hallowell (Oratorio). Further back this is the family of Stradbroke Handicap (Gr 1, 1400m) winner Rouslan (Ideal Planet). A Lot, a US-bred son of Tapit (Pulpit), is based at Willaview Park where he covered 59 mares in 2020. 

The Perth Winter Yearling Sale saw 21 of the 25 lots offered sold for an aggregate of $275,500. The average finished at $13,168 while the median was $7,500. 

The highest priced to to sell during the Perth Winter Thoroughbred Sale on Sunday was Arazona (High Chaparral) who was bought by Jane Henning for $70,000. Sold by Forest View Farm as Lot 84, Arazona, a four-time winner, was sold in foal to I’m All The Talk (Stratum). 

The sale saw 45 of the 48 lots offered sold for $318,000. The average was $7,067 while the median finished at $4,000.
