Godolphin go to €950,000 during opening session of the Arqana Deauville August Yearling Sale
A filly by Juddmonte Farm’s Kingman (Invincible Spirit) topped the opening day of the Arqana Deauville August Yearling Sale on Saturday when bought by Godolphin for €950,000.
Sold by Haras d’Haspel as Lot 62, the filly is out of the unraced Needleleaf (Observatory) who has already produced this year’s Superlative Stakes (Gr 2, 7f) winner Native Trail (Oasis Dream), who was bought by Godolphin for 210,000gns at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale earlier this year.
Needleleaf meanwhile is a sister to Group One winner African Rose, being out of New Orchid (Quest For Fame).
Godolphin bought two further yearlings on Saturday for a total spend of €1.5 million.
