A colt by Darley Australia shuttler Harry Angel (Dark Angel) topped the second and final day of the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale on Wednesday when bought by bloodstock agent Alex Elliott for £220,000 (approximately $415,000).

Consigned by Houghton Bloodstock as Lot 296, the colt is the third foal out of Listed winning mare Red Box (Exceed And Excel) and he will be trained by Clive Cox for a new client of Elliott.

Harry Angel is standing his third season in Australia this year at Darley’s Kelvinside  where his fee has been set at $16,500 (inc GST).

The Harry Angel colt was one of two lots to make over £200,000 at this year’s Premier Yearling Sale with the other, a son of Kodiac (Danehill), selling to Blandford Bloodstock for £210,000.

Sold by Tally-Ho Stud as Lot 359, the colt is the first foal out of the unraced Pivotal (Polar Falcon) mare Stunner from the family of sires in Buratino (Exceed And Excel) and Danehill Dancer (Danehill).

Other lots to sell for six figures on Wednesday include a filly by Rosemont Stud shuttler Starspangledbanner (Choisir) who was bought by MV Magnier for £160,000. The most expensive filly sold on Wednesday and catalogued as Lot 381, she is the first foal out of Under Offer (Bated Breath) from the family of Hong Kong Group Three winner Joyful Trinity (Zanzibari).

A colt by Haunui Farm shuttler Ribchester (Iffraaj) meanwhile made £125,000 when bought by Richard Hughes from the draft of Ballyhimikin Stud. The colt was sold as Lot 244
