MV Magnier went to €1.2 million for a son of Camelot (Montjeu) on day two of the Goffs Orby Yearling Sale on Wednesday. 

Sold by The Castlebridge Consignment as Lot 366, the colt is out of Danehill Dancer (Danehill) mare Attire making him a half-brother to Group winner Leo De Fury (Australia) and the stakes placed filly Sense Of Style (Zoffany). 

Attire meanwhile is a sister to Group Three winner Forgotten Voice being out of Asnieres (Spend A Buck). 

The Camelot colt was the only lot to sell for seven figures on day two of the sale and was the second million Euro lot of the sale after a filly by Galileo (Sadler's Wells) was bought for €1.5 million by MV Magnier on Tuesday. 

Frankel (Galileo) meanwhile accounted for the next two most expensive lots to sell on Wednesday with Kenneth McPeek going to €900,000 to buy Lot 377, https://www.goffs.com/sales-results/sales/orby-sale-2021/377 a colt by Frankel out of Belesta (Xaar). 

McPeak bought a total of four lots for a total spend of €1,610,000. 

Earlier in the day a filly by Frankel made €650,000 when bought by Al Shira'aa Farm. Sold by Galberstown Stables as Lot 254, the filly is a half-sister to Group winning filly Greggs Pipes (Rip Van Winkle) being out of Sophie Germain (Indian Ridge).

Another lot to sell well on day two of the sale was a colt by Coolmore shuttler Saxon Warrior (Deep Impact) who was bought by BBA Ireland for €540,000. The colt is out of the late mare Cassandra Go (Indian Ridge) and was sold by Ballyhimikin Stud as Lot 397. https://www.goffs.com/sales-results/sales/orby-sale-2021/397 Cassandra Go has produced ten winner to date headed by multiple Group One winner Halfway To Heaven (Pivotal) who in turn is the dam of fellow multiple Group One winner Magical (Galileo) and three-time Group One winner Rhododendron (Galileo). 

Saxon Warrior's fee this spring is set at $13,750 (inc GST). 

On Wednesday, 182 of the 204 lots offered were sold for €20,931,000. The average was €115,005 and the median was €80,000. 

Overall during the two-day sale 372 of the 409 lots offered sold for a clearance rate of 91 per cent. The aggregate finished at €40,581,500. The average was €109,090 and the median was €75,000. At the 2020 sale, held in England, 311 lots sold for £21,142,000 with the average at £67,981 and median was £47,000. 

The Castlebridge Consignment finished the sale as the leading vendor selling 43 yearlings for €5,564,000 at an average of €129,395 while Marlhill House finished the sale as the leading vendor by average (three or more lots sold) selling three yearlings for €1,074,999 at an average of €358,333. 

MV Magnier was the leading buyer spending €3,814,998 on six lots.
