The share in Haras de Bonneval's stallion sells to Abdullah Saeed Almaddah

Abdullah Saeed Almaddah, owner of breeding operation Marbat LLC, went to €410,000 to secure a 1/50th share in Zarak (Dubawi) which was sold during the latest Arqana Online Sale on Tuesday. 

The Haras de Bonneval-based son of Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) is standing for a career high fee of €65,000 this year, up from €25,000 a year ago having enjoyed a career best season in 2022. He was the leading second crop sire in France by winners with his leading progeny including the Group 1 placegetters Times Square, Purplepay and La Parisienne. 

A (1/50th) share in the Haras d'Etreham-based multiple Group 1 winner, Persian King (Kingman), meanwhile was bought by Paul Harley Bloodstock for €150,000. His oldest crop are now yearlings and he will stand for €25,000 this year. 

During the sale, the first Arqana Online sale held this year, 12 out of the 14 lots on offer sold with the turnover finishing at €986,000.
