1. Who are your picks of the colts and why?

It is very hard to narrow it down in small numbers, so we'll bring it down to some nice Savabeels and we certainly can't go without mentioning that some of the Tavaci's are such great types.

Lot 483 Savabeel (Zabeel) - Candelabra (Pins), he is a great quality colt with a superb pedigree.
Lot 79 Savabeel - Magic Dancer (Rip Van Winkle), he's out of a group winning two-year-old old mare and he's a
quality colt from a wonderful cross.
Lot 355 Savabeel - Tiara (O'Reilly), he is a middle distance plus type of colt and he's an outstanding type.
Lot 9 Tivaci (High Chaparral) - Kansas (O'Reilly), he is a sensational colt with strength and size.
Lot 392 Savabeel - Virginia (O'Reilly), he's got plenty of size, muscle and physique.
Lot 92 Tivaci - Miracle Miss (O'Reilly) is a stunning colt, very athletic.

2. Who are your picks of the fillies and why?

Lot 41 Savabeel - Lady Tatia (Duke Of Marmalade) is absolute quality.
Lot 299 Savabeel - Spending (Pins), a lovely strong athletic filly with a great pedigree.
Lot 302 Savabeel - Splits (O'Reilly) is all quality with a great pedigree.

3. Who do you feel has improved most over the prep?

Lot 627 Savabeel - Got It colt.  He was behind the others when the prep started and has improved all the way through the prep. He is late in the sale, has a great attitude and I feel he'll do very well while at Karaka and I love seeing a horse doing that.

4. How do you feel the 2020 sale will measure compared to previous renewals?

I feel it should be on a par with last year, we had an extremely successful Karaka in 2019 and I do feel that it's a stronger catalogue across the board for 2020.

5. What is the thing you like most about the Karaka Sale?

I love presenting a large draft of yearlings, that have spent from conception to sale day being reared at Waikato Stud and I love being able to present our draft on the international stage, leaving no stone unturned and wishing everybody all the best with their purchases.
