Aquis Farm Leading Ready2Race Buyer

Aquis Farm was leading buyer by both total lots purchased and aggregate at the Ready2Race Sale held in Sydney on October 15.

The Queensland-based stud purchased six 2YO lots for a total of $510,000.

Despite a low clearance rate (66%) the sale gross of $8,021,000 rose by 45% increase. There was a 30 percent increase in the average to $91,148 with a median price of $65,000, up 30%.

The top price of $280,000 was paid for a Poet’s Voice x Bedizened colt offered by Musk Creek Farm and purchased by Hong Kong trainer Dennis Yip.

There were 11 Lots sold for $200,000 or more, compared to just two last year.

Lionheart Thoroughbreds was leading vendor by aggregate, grossing $1,550,500 for 14 lots sold. Musk Creek Farm had the best by average (for three or more sold), selling all four offerings at an average of $153,750.

Thai buyer Krit Chittaseni purchased multiple lots including the equal second-top youngster of the day, a Written Tycoon x Edikeni colt, for $260,000.
