A catalogue of over 40 racehorses will go under the hammer following Tuesday’s Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale.

The powerful Godolphin operation has supported the auction with a quality line up from Group performers to unraced prospects.

Among the Godolphin entries are proven stakes performers Marsupial and Tessera.

The sale also includes impressive drafts from Aquis Farms and Jadeskye Racing.

The Autumn Racehorse Sale will commence following the sale of the last yearling on Tuesday.

• South Africa’s Drakenstein Stud has acquired former Ballydoyle star Lancaster Bomber for stud duty in 2019.

The G1-winning son of War Front is currently on the roster at the National Stud at Newmarket in the UK.

He will join fellow European recruit Duke of Marmalade and local stallions Futura, Gold Standard, Philanthropist, Trippi and What A Winter at the Drakenstein Stud.

He wil fil the void left by the recent loss of the stud’s stalwarts Captain Al and Dynasty.

Trained by Aidan O’Brien, Lancaster Bomber was placed in G1 races at Woodbine, Royal Ascot, Newbury and Newmarket as well as in two Breeders’ Cup races.

Stud manager John Freeman stated: “We firmly believe that the globetrotting Lancaster Bomber is an ideal stallion prospect for South Africa.”
