Sunday’s Arc meeting at Longchamp was a glorious day for Coolmore Stud with progeny by three of their renowned international sires securing three Group 1 victories.

The stud’s most prestigious resident Galileo sired yet another G1 winner when his daughter Found took the Prix Marcel Boussac, clearing away from her rivals by 2 ½ lengths.

Settled behind the leaders in third, she travelled sweetly until the Aidan O’Brien-trained filly’s turn of foot set her apart from her rivals as she sped away under Ryan Moore.

Previously third in the G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes last month. The extra furlong looked to her liking and her trainer thinks she may get a mile and a half in time.

Her speed comes in part from her dam Red Evie, by Intikhab, who won over 7 furlongs and a mile, including the G1 Lockinge Stakes and the G1 Matron Stakes for trainer Michael Bell.

Bred in Ireland, Found is the mare’s fourth foal, with her full sister Magical Dream a G2 and G3 placegetter.

Australian-bred stallion Choisir provided another G1 win for Coolmore sires when his most successful son by prize-money Olympic Glory took the G1 Prix de la Foret for Richard Hannon and Al Shaqab Racing.

Frankie Dettori settled the winner last before weaving through the field and stretching away to win by 2 lengths.

This was the colt’s second win at the Arc meeting, having won the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardare as a 2yo and adding two more G1 wins since.

The globe-trotting Gordon Lord Byron ran a super race to finish second for the second year in a row, bringing the €2,000 Goffs purchase’s earnings to over £1.25million.

Bred in Ireland by Denis McDonnell, Olympic Glory is the most successful foal of his dam Acidanthera, who is the grand-daughter of the G2 Queen Mary winner Amaranda.

The third G1 success for Coolmore stallions came courtesy of James Fanshawe’s High Jinx, by High Chaparral, in the G1 Prix du Cadran.

Leading from start to finish under an inspired Ryan Moore ride, the gelding battled gamely to beat Bathyron with Dermot Weld’s Pale Mimosa close up in third.

The win took High Chaparral’s strike rate in international G1 races this year to an impressive 25%, with highlights including New Zealand’s Dundeel taking the G1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick in April and Toronado winning the G1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.
